The river was beautiful yesterday and we enjoyed paddling up and down stream for a couple of hours. Then we came home and cooked chicken breasts and salad. It was just a nice Saturday doing things we wanted.
Today we had church, and we have the missionaries here for dinner. After this post I am going to sear a roast and get it in the oven. Kids are due here with babies and they are taking the boat out. We will both nap with a baby. I have to peel carrots and onions, and I will make garlic mashed red spuds. Don't know what kind of bread I am serving, will probably make biscuts. William loves biscuts. Also will toss a salad. Dinner done.
Cleaned and organized. I do not have very big drawers in this kitchen, nor do I have very many of them, so I have a hard time finding places for everything. But it is getting better.
Many things in this drawer went by by. I had several coaster type cloths that I decorated my old kitchen with and as I had never used them, they went away.
These drawers are so narrow, it is aggravating. But I cook from scratch all the time and I need my tools. Everyday napkins were folded different to utilize the space better.
I did not get a picture of this baking drawer before, but I think this was the drawer where I did the most decluttering. As in do I really use this? Mom did all her cookies with melon ballers and I do not so those went. I don't have the room and I don't need them taking up space.
This was probably the most frustrating drawer, but I really felt I needed all of this. I bake so much and one scrapper is not enough.
So I felt like I am on track for my clean and purge challenge. In fact I am ahead on getting rid of things, but that will get harder the further we go in the month.
Well I am off to start cooking dinner, and then i am going to nap! Yeah
Have a peaceful, and restful Sabbath.
Kim
