Jeffree Star launched his lip gloss line last Friday and luckily, there were plenty of each shade to go around (on Beautylish at least). Personally, I had been waiting for him to launch a lip gloss line for some time (being a huge lip gloss fan myself) and I ordered 4 so far (with the potential to add more).
There are 2 finishes in the line (Extreme Shine and Glitter Finish) and 18 shades released. Each offers a semi-sheer, high-shine, non-sticky finish. I find each of these claims to be true.
I bought two of each finish: Candy Drip and Diamond Juice are Glitter Finish, and Control Freak and Legends Only are Extreme Shine.
First off, the packaging. J* definitely has a firm grasp on the branding of his line. I adore this packaging aesthetic-wise, it reminds me of a cross between the Sailor Moon wands and the Space Needle. They are light in weight and are fun to take pics of. The only thing I will say is that, while I love the overall chunkiness of them, they aren't the best to keep in your purse as they are pretty large. I normally keep 5 - 10 lip products in my bag at any one time, and with these, I definitely wouldn't keep more than one of these in my purse, especially since they are too large to fit in the interior pockets of my purses.
Formula-wise, these have a light, balmy texture. They feel like a thin balm on the lips. Very comfortable. I got probably of the 4 most sheer shades in the line. I love sheer lip products so it's not an issue for me, but I think many consumers associate J* with pigmentation and so they might be disappointed. I don't love to use lip gloss as a topper for lipstick, I typically just wear one or the other, so these work very well for me on their own. You also can't feel the glitter in the Glitter Finish glosses as the glitter pieces are super tiny

My only wish is that these taste as good as they smell. They don't taste like anything which is fine, but they smell INCREDIBLE. So yummy and sugary. It's supposed to smell like creme brulee, which it does, but really, it smells like any vanilla-scented sugary goodnes you can think of.
